Lamborghini Countach is a unique and mythical car within the automotive world.
It was a creation of the Bertone house and with the pencil man Marcelo Gandini, also responsible for other famous creations such as the fabulous Miura, Silhouette or Jalpa. Its production started in 1972, although it was presented in 1971, and lasted until the mid-90s.
The story goes that all the names of the models of the house were related to bulls and bullfights because it was one of Ferrucio Lamborghini’s passions. Countach was, however, the first exception to the rule, the name belonging to an expression Piemontence, which means exuberance and glamor that is usually used to flatter beautiful women.
The Countach was the last car to be produced in Sant Agata Bolognese with its own monetary funds as it then joined with the North American Chrysler.
